Free QR Code Generator — Custom Styles, No Account Required
BatchPrintGTIN.com includes a full-featured QR code generator at no cost. Create QR codes for websites, WiFi networks, contact cards, menus, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS messages, WhatsApp chats, calendar events, Zoom meetings, and plain text. All processing happens in your browser — your data is never sent to any server.
QR Code Content Types Supported
- Website URL — link to any webpage, product listing, or landing page
- WiFi access — encodes network name, password, and security type so guests can connect by scanning
- Contact card (vCard) — name, phone, email, company, and website saved directly to the scanner's contacts
- Email — pre-filled recipient, subject line, and message body
- Phone number — tap to call directly from a scan
- SMS — pre-filled number and message text
- WhatsApp — opens a WhatsApp chat with a pre-filled message
- Plain text — any message or information up to the QR capacity limit
- Location / Map — GPS coordinates or an address that opens in Google Maps
- Calendar event — title, start time, end time, and location saved to the scanner's calendar
- Zoom meeting — meeting ID and passcode encoded for one-tap join
QR Code Dot Patterns
Unlike basic QR code tools that only produce standard black-and-white square codes, BatchPrintGTIN lets you choose from five dot pattern styles. Each produces a genuinely different visual appearance while remaining fully scannable by any smartphone camera:
- Square — the classic default, maximum compatibility with all scanners
- Dots — circular modules for a modern, minimal aesthetic
- Rounded — softly rounded squares, friendly and approachable
- Diamond — rotated square modules for a geometric brand style
- Star — star-shaped modules for premium or festive campaigns
Corner Eye Styles
The three finder pattern squares in the corners of every QR code can be styled independently of the dot pattern. Four eye styles are available: Square, Rounded, Circle, and Leaf. Mixing a custom dot pattern with a matching eye style creates a distinctive branded QR code that stands out on packaging and marketing materials.
Colours, Gradients and Logos
The foreground colour of the QR modules can be set to any hex colour to match your brand. Linear and radial gradient fills are supported — the gradient is applied directly to the modules, not as a background layer. The background colour is independently configurable, and transparent-background PNG export lets the QR code float over coloured surfaces in packaging artwork.
A logo or watermark image can be overlaid at the centre of the QR code. Error correction level H (30%) is automatically selected when a logo is present, ensuring the code remains fully scannable even with the centre covered. Upload any PNG, JPG, or SVG as the logo.
Frames with Call-to-Action Text
A decorative frame with custom text wraps the QR code — common text includes "SCAN TO VIEW MENU", "SCAN FOR WIFI", "SCAN TO ORDER", or "SCAN TO FOLLOW US". Frame background colour and text colour are independently configurable. Frames are especially effective on restaurant table cards, retail shelf wobblers, and event signage where the QR code needs a clear instruction for the user.
Downloading Your QR Code
QR codes can be downloaded as PNG (raster, suitable for web and basic print), SVG (vector, for professional print production at any size), or included in a PDF via the Page Designer. For batch QR code generation — creating dozens or hundreds of unique codes from a CSV file — use the Batch Generator tab.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do QR codes from BatchPrintGTIN expire?
No. BatchPrintGTIN generates static QR codes that encode the destination directly. They never expire as long as the destination URL or content remains active. Dynamic QR codes with tracking and redirect management are a different product not offered here.
What error correction level should I use?
Use level H (30%) when adding a logo overlay or when the QR code may be partially obscured or damaged in printing. Use level M (15%) or Q (25%) for standard uses where maximum data density is preferred.
How do I make a QR code for a restaurant menu?
Select URL as the content type, enter your menu URL, choose your dot pattern and colour scheme, add a "SCAN TO VIEW MENU" frame, and download as PNG or SVG for your table cards.
